Codecs can differ on the aleg and bleg, FS will transcode between them
if possible. So what you saw is perfectly normal.

G729 is one where the transcoding will fail though unless you have a
licensed version (mod_com_g729 or sangoma hardware).

There are options you can adjust to alter how the codecs are selected,
including to force the bleg to use the aleg codec and visa versa, see
