Oh geez. I didn't realize that was a Linux package/service I needed to
install. My inexperience with Linux is showing and my face is red.
Starting the service after doing a yum install memcached, followed by a
'chkconfig --level 345 memcached on' did the trick (CentOS).
Thank you!
- Phil
apt-get install memcached

Subject: Issues after enabling mod_memcache
After enabling mod_memcache (I didn't realize it was disabled by default), I
get the following error when a cid lookup is performed:
2012-07-26 13:38:48.201415 [ERR] mod_memcache.c:350 Error while running
command get: SYSTEM ERROR
2012-07-26 13:38:48.201415 [ERR] mod_memcache.c:350 Error while running
command get: SYSTEM ERROR
2012-07-26 13:38:48.201415 [ERR] mod_memcache.c:350 Error while running
command get: SYSTEM ERROR
2012-07-26 13:38:48.841598 [ERR] mod_memcache.c:350 Error while running
command set: SYSTEM ERROR
Am I missing something? I restarted FS after modifying modules.conf.xml and
mod_memcache is present and uncomment in modules.conf. Not sure what else I
should be doing to make this work.
Thanks,
Phil Quesinberry
