If you want "just working, not fancy" then check out FusionPBX. It is a GUI
that is closer to the default FS XML configs than is blue.box. There are a
lot of people using it and it has a fair amount of traction, plus Mark Crane
(IRC: mcrane) is frequently in the #fusionpbx channel.

Whatever you do, please consider helping the existing projects before you
start a new one. Many have tried, few have succeeded... :)
