We have identified the issue.  It was in the perl code.   So false alarm.   We do not have it working fully at this time,  but are VERY close.

Jeff, socket is the outbound ESL.

Tim, it would be useful to know what you're sending via ESL and see debug-level logs with siptrace enabled so we can see what's going on.
