I see an entry for Google Talk but no Google Voice (GV). So far, the only SIP
URI termination supported by GV is Gizmo5 (GV) to receive incoming calls on
an ATA and/or PBX. There has been several scripts out there written to
emulate a GV dialout to place an outbound call. Of particular interesting
one is this http://www.pmarks.net/posted_links/google-voice-dialout.agi GV
DialOut script written in Python. With the Asterisk bridge() function, this
script is able to let Asterisk users to place a GV outbound call just by
picking up a phone, dial, and talk (once the call has established). As seen
http://freeswitch-users.2379917.n2.nabble.com/Asterisk-equivalent-Bridge-function-implementation-td5303089.html#a5303089
here , I had tried to bring up a discussion on how to implement this GV
DialOut script on FS. I am glad some experts here were able to point out how
to use this script on FS. However, for a newbie like me, this will lead to
nowhere sans some examples to show how to exploit the scripts with the given
FS API. So, adding a section to the cookbook to show how to achieve this
with the script may not be a bad idea.

OTOH, someone has actually written a GV channel (chan_gv) driver for
Asterisk. This lets Asterisk users easily place an outbound calls through a
simple Asterisk dialplan. Perhaps, FS developers should consider to add some
sorts of GV channel driver for FS. This way, there may be a section in the
cookbook devoted just for this, too.

don't and stop are the ONLY two 4-letter words considered offensive to men,
but not when used together.
