I guess the thing I'm unclear about with international call-quality is this:

If the POTS person I'm calling is in the US, but my VoIP-softphone
caller is in Singapore, then which server-location would be better for
the call quality?

#1 = Singapore, because what matters is distance from VoIP-softphone
to FreeSWITCH server?
#2 = US, because what matters is distance from FreeSWITCH server to POTS person?
#3 = Or is the real answer "both equally"?

Sorry I'm not understanding if the softphone -> FreeSWITCH connection
vs FreeSWITCH -> telco connection is a different *type* of connection,
more affected by distance?
