cd /usr/src
yum install gettext-devel expat-devel curl-devel zlib-devel openssl-devel
bzip2
wget http://kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/git-1.7.1.tar.bz2
tar -xvjf git-1.7.1.tar.bz2
cd git-1.7.1
make prefix=/usr/local all
make prefix=/usr/local install
