From the beginning Digium made a big mistake when released libiax as
independent from chan_iax code. Protocol changes/bug fixes in chan_iax never
(or maybe rarely) went back to libiax. This ended up in 2 different IAX
protocol implementations.
I wish Digium make chan_iax as a wrapper on top of supported and actively
developed libiax...
