Yes, it should just work. I'd recommend Dahdi (complete), because Zaptel
is not being developed anymore. Check the wiki for little things you have
to set in various files, such as

/etc/dahdi/modules
/etc/dahdi/system.conf
wherever/freeswitch/conf/openzap.xml
wherever/freeswitch/conf/zt.conf (shouldn't have to change it)
wherever/freeswitch/autoload_configs/openzap.conf.xml
