[Freeswitch-users] Detecting remote device availability

Hi,

I vaguely recall an Asterisk feature that allows one to send a detection signal to check if the remote device is available (almost like ping). That is, if the remote device would actually ring when really dialed.

Do you folks remember how this feature is called? How could i achieve the same with Freeswitch?
