[Freeswitch-users] newbie help needed

Hi everyone!
  I'm sure I'm stupid here, but I can't make a call, because I didn't find out 
how.
  I browsed the documentation and I suppose I even configured freeswitch 
correctly. But then the "gettings started guide" told me how to change a 
directory and how to start an application, but omitted to mention how to make 
a call.
  Can I do it from the freeswitch commandline or do I have to register it with 
a real phone or a software phone, as in external application?
  I'm sorry if this mail got sent twice.
  But I need help here! Please!
