hi Brian,

Not if it the modules are separate stand-alone projects. The rules are 
well defined in the GPL. You actually already do this with various 
packages distributed with Linux and distributions like Red Hat, Mandrake 
or Suse actually do exist don't they?

But, that said - I would in this very case ask for Steve's permission 
and respect hes opinion.
