Can the behavior of mod_sofia configured in any way so that it does not
forward IMs automatically or not at all? This question may sound strange but
I'm trying to realize a sort of filter for IMs. What do you think how this
could be done?

IM messages are not routed based on the dialplan, they are routed based on
prefix steering codes such as sip+ (on the destination address) to tell it
to get handled by the sip module.

Hello,
how can I configure FreeSWITCH to act as a gateway for Instant Messages. For
example it should translate a SIP Instant Message into an XMPP Instant
Message.
What I also want to know: Is there any way to react on an received IM with
actions in the Dialplan?
Thank you
