[Freeswitch-users] TODO List

Hello,

After carefully thinking about whether I will actually have the time to
contribute, I decided that I could assist with the documentation, until I
get acquainted enough with the software to test various cases/scenarios or
even write some code for it (I'm new to the group, too). 

I don't know if there is enough work for two people to work on
documentation, so, if Patrick alone is enough, I could just assist in case
he doesn't have time, or if there are documentation workload peaks.

That's prolly biting off more than I can chew simply because I don't
want to make promises I may not be able to keep. But I will pitch in as
we discussed earlier today starting with getting the bits from Anthony's
Cluecon presentation written down.

Excellent. I will gladly take you up on your offer.

I prefer sticking the info on trac.freeswitch.org. Imho there's no need
to scatter info around the Net like with Asterisk. To me it makes sense
that if you need information about FreeSWITCH you go to freeswitch.org.
One site, the whole enchilada.

Don't want to put too much pressure on docelmo but the high quality
video of Anthony's presentation and his presentation will be quite
helpful.

What part of "./configure && make installall" do they not understand :)
Seriously, it's a breeze to build and install FreeSWITCH on Linux (kudos
to who made the script). Don't know about Microsoft or other platforms
though. There's always room for improvement. "Edit modules.conf and
adjust to taste" will be a bit of a challenge when one has no clue what
they do and if they are required. But nothing a quick chat on the conf
or irc can't fix.

Since you are asking, mod_capi would be nice so I can stick FreeSWITCH
on a box with an Eicon Diva Server card. Learning and documenting on the
job so to speak.

Looking at the deafening silence on the asterisk-doc list it's probably
an idea to keep documentation talk on the main list. Hopefully that will
create more traction and involvement from the community. And people can
learn from it.
