Before you invest more time in your django app, did you have a look at
the templates confluence already provides? They're also kinda powerful
and allow similar things but are contained within Confluence.

To try them out I had to switch from the FreeSWITCH space to my personal
space where I then can create new templates (through the create button
on the lower left side of the pop-up window).

Just an idea :)
