On the subject of config files, I did some reorganisation to the way modules.conf is loaded on a internal test system to make it easier to load modules as part of packages
I changed modules.conf to use <X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="include" data="modules.d/*.xml"/> and then each module config is prefixed with a pair of digits to load things in the desired order (e.g. 00_commands.conf.xml) I was going to be suggesting this change at some point, but if the 1.8 release is getting closer is this something that I should turn into a JIRA/Enhancement asap as it would mean that packaged systems will be able to auto load when installed?

I strongly suspect that will change with the upcoming version 1.8 releaese. Bkw is revamping all the config files and is asking for extra pairs of eyes to look for stuff like that.
