About the thesis, I need to find it, long time has passed :)

The thesis describes the same approach, 
but was written in erlang, using the erlang internode communication.

then we moved it to C, using corosync as the underlying "bus" and node manager.

the released code is the latter.

Hope can be of some interest, at least for the records.
