[Freeswitch-dev] any pre-existing routine to escape a string for any control characters/etc?

The switch_escape_string seems to have a hardwired list and doesn't cover other non-printables like ^G or similar. Is 
there anything already existing that would cover "all non-printables"?

If not, I'll put one together.  (Looking for something to use in logging functions to avoid sending garbage to display.)
