[Freeswitch-dev] reliable way to get caller id

It probably is being set as a particular variable. Send your incoming calls
to the info app and make a few test calls. Watch the console - it will dump
all the chan vars. If the number is coming from the carrier then it should
be in one of the chan vars listed in the info dump.
