Both of those examples are wrong if you wish to dial via a gateway.

sofia/gateway/GATEWAY-NAME/number

NEVER and I mean NEVER do this:

sofia/gateway/GATEWAY-NAME/number at host  <-- WRONG WRONG WRONG.
