No, you cannot use the system one.

FS developers had chosen a set of revision of libraries (and often
patched them), so to be sure to have a sane platform, and not to
depend on the particular distro packages. The FS build system
automagically builds and uses its own libs, that do not interfere with
the rest of the system.

In short: no.
