[Freeswitch-dev] SMDI in FS?

Guys,
Is it possible to do smdi? Assuming for the moment that time and money  
were not factors, what would be involved? Ideally I would want to see  
support for serial smdi as well as lan cuz there are still lots of  
legacy systems out there that could talk to a fs box via rs232.

Anyway, would this need to be implemented as its own module, mod_smdi?  
I'm just curious because I might have a customer who could use fs as a  
VM system but smdi is required.
