Tim,

 

In other words, you want classic key phone system behavior on your VoIP
phones with FreeSWITCH?  Just confirming.  That's pretty much what
you've described.  I hope FS can do that because it will be a killer app
that I've not seen other OSS telephony systems do

Per Brians request here is a summary of what I hope to accomplish with
SLA/BLA and FS

 

What I hope to accomplish with freeswitch is a SLA/BLA scenario.

 

I want extension 1000 on line1 on all phones registered with the system

 

I want extension 1001 on line2 on all phones

 

I want extension 1002 on line3 on all phones.

 

 

Inbound call:

 

enters system, dials extension 1000, line1 rings on all phones, a phone
picks up line1 and the status on all other phones shows as inuse for
line1. 

 

 

Outbound call:

 

User hits line selection of their choice (1, 2 or 3) and dials an
outside number. The status of the line he is using would be shown as
active across all phones.

 

 

 

Misc:

 

Call should be able to be put on hold on one phone and picked up on
another 

phone using the same line button.

 

Thoughts:??

Maybe conference can be used so two phones can share a conversation with
an inbound or outbound call?
