Subject: [Freeswitch-dev] is a digest of svn wanted?
do people here think it would be helpful to have a daily digest (or perhaps after N new commits) email sent to the list outlining the SVN commits? This would be automated, and can go online as soon as I know that people would find it helpful.
I think that the notes that are there are often helpful, since sometimes they document some problems that may crop up, such as the move of mod_softtimer to the core, requiring the removal of it in modules.conf (for a recent example).
The format would be basically like:
revision 5923 committed by brian, Tue, 16 October 2007, 20:46:02 -0400
http://fisheye.freeswitch.org:8081/changelog/FreeSWITCH?cs=5923
outline what this is and how to contribute
----------
revision 5922 .....
and so on.
To avoid flooding the list I do not recommend it be done as they come in, but some type of digest be generated.
So please give me feedback on the following:
1. would this be helpful?
2. what interval (either after N commits, or every X hours -- no message will be sent if there are no commits)
