How old is your version of freeswitch?  I thought that a few revisions ago
they changed the version string to be something like 1.0.<branch>M if
modified, and 1.0.hacked was older code.  I may be wrong on that, if
possible perhaps a branch number might help to see if this is addressed in
more current software.
