[Freeswitch-dev] You can not unsubscribe via email, PLEASE READ

Why does this happen in spurts like this?

Our policy is to provide a signup script to give unified developer
access Jabber account, mailing lists, svn branch etc with a checkbox to
indicate if you want to join the mailing list or not.

We also provide a tarball for those who do not need these resources.

The signup script has a checkbox that asks you if you want to join the mailing list.
If you check it then it sends you an email to verify your email address with a magic
link that will complete the addition to the mailing list.

I don't understand how anyone is accidently getting added to this mailing list.
We will run some tests again and make sure everything is fine. But knowingly sending unsubscribe emails is not cool and you know you are doing it to annoy everyone else at try to start flame wars, please do not do it anymore. If you don't want to be on the list then we do not want you on the list either we are in no way trying to spam you.

If you really found yourself here by mistake
The url below will wipe you completely from our system in all respects.

http://www.freeswitch.org/remove.cgi

If you want to make sure you are off our list join our irc channel
and we will confirm with you in real time if you are still on the list.

If you want to be part of the Project but don't want the emails....
EVERY MAIL CLIENT HAS A FILTER... USE IT...

That's My Two Cents.... Now Pay Up.... Or Shut Up... LOL

Justin,

Besides the fact that you are immature and young (yes I do know who you
are), I can easily accept your youth as a reason for such rude behaviors. I
know you apologized for what you said already, but you have to expect some
response not only from other users and/or mods, but from the person you
flamed.

To be honest, I see you as the troller, jumping from one OSP to another, but
that doesn't bother me in the least. As I said, you're young and probably
feel you still need to prove yourself, but please do yourself a favor, don't
try that with me.

It doesn't matter about mail clients only because you apparently have not
read what I said. I won't repeat myself but you can (since you have a good
mail client) read back what I wrote about different IAUP's and even consult
CTL's ISP IAUP and see that I only state fact. Unnecessary use of
bandwidht, mail services and excessive emails that are unwarranted are a
clear violation of any IAUP in the country that you are in and the country
that FS services are hosted.

With that said, please don't flame those you don't know because they may
know you and it may not be the smartest move for any person trying to
develop their brilliant career path.

Gabriel
